Introducing Gabb Watch 3

Gabb is thrilled to announce the release of our new watch: Gabb Watch 3. 

Parents and kids have loved the Gabb Watch since it was first introduced in 2021. The very first Gabb Watch was born directly from parents requesting a safe device for their kids who were not quite ready for a Gabb Phone.

Every version of Gabb Watch since has been shaped in the same way: listening to the needs of families and finding innovative ways to meet those needs.

Gabb Watch 3 is no exception. We kept the most loved features, improved some old ones, and added a bunch more—all using your feedback. We think you’ll be as excited to use it as we are to announce it!

What’s New on Gabb Watch 3?

Far from a simple upgrade, Gabb Watch 3 has been redesigned from scratch—combining the functions of a safe cell phone, a reliable GPS device, and an interactive watch to stay by a kid’s side, every step of the day.

Let’s start with a look at some of the most requested upgrades.

Wireless Charging

Dealing with cords and pogo pins can be a hassle. We’ve eliminated that frustration by adding wireless charging. Gabb Watch 3 comes with a wireless USB charger cable (Please note: charging block is not included).

Strengthened durability

Let’s face it, kids can be rough on stuff. Especially nice stuff. With improved water resistance, dust protection, and ultra-strong Gorilla Glass 3 screens, the Gabb Watch 3 is made to withstand damage.

Gabb Watch 3 has a water resistance rating of IP68, determined by the International Electrotechnical Commission. That’s the same grade of leading devices (like iPhone™) but that doesn’t mean it’s fully waterproof so you still won’t want your kid to take it into the pool, lake, or ocean.

Better network coverage

The Gabb Watch 3 has extended coverage for better calls, text, and GPS tracking, still on the nation’s most reliable network. Like previous Gabb Watches, Gabb Watch 3 is a standalone device with its own phone number and allows parents to set Safe Zones that notify you when a child enters/leaves specified areas.

Speech-to-Text keyboard

Now with several text options to choose from, kids can find what works best for them. And parents can receive messages in the way that works best too.

The 9-Key Keypad is nostalgic for many parents who grew up texting on flip phones, while the speech-to-text keyboard allows even the youngest to dictate a text.

That means you can now check a child’s message during a meeting without having to step out to listen.

But don’t worry, Gabb Watch 3 still has voice messages so you can listen to your little one’s stories and pre-set texts for those just learning to read.

More contact, same safety

Gabb Watch 3 allows unlimited call or text to 100 approved contacts (up from 25). All contacts are still parent-managed so you can be sure your child is only communicating with those you trust.

Parent-controlled focus and silent mode

The old lock mode has been upgraded so parents can now enable focus or silent modes and remotely mute or increase the ringtone volume. 

Using the MyGabb app, parents can remotely mute the device, increase ringtone volume, and even lock all applications, calls, and messages. For urgent or emergency situations, primary and guardian contacts and the SOS button are always unlocked.

Bluetooth connectivity

Pairing of the watch during initial setup is now done through Bluetooth, making it an easy and seamless process. Bluetooth can also be used to connect to wireless headphones or the Gabb Blast speaker.

Multitasking pane

Switching between apps or answering a phone call? No problem. Apps will continue running in the background so kids never lose what they were doing before the change. 

Kids can simply double tap the power button to open the multitasking pane. Apps can be closed by swiping up on them individually, or clicking “close all.”

New productivity apps

The latest apps have been designed to provide a fun, encouraging way for kids to stay active in their day-to-day lives, without risks of safety or screen addiction.

Gabb Move

This exercise tracking app helps keep kids active. It automatically records time, miles, and even maps their routes on jogs or hikes.

Mimic by Gabb

A fun memory game designed to test recollection. The watch plays a pattern and the child tries to copy it. Daily time limits ensure the child won’t be glued to their watch and will remember to live outside the screen.

Gabb Calculator

The new calculator app allows kids to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Gabb Cloud

Never lose your data again. With Gabb Cloud, all settings and app progress is automatically saved once a day.

Old Features, Big Improvements

Many beloved features have been updated to keep kids amused and ready to show off their personalities.

Gabb Go

Kids can take care of their own digital pets. With each completion of a parent assigned task, kids can earn coins to use towards “purchasing” fun actions. Gabb Go features 3 new pets, in addition to the previous 9 pets, with special movements sure to make kids laugh.

Silicone Bands

Each watch comes with a soft, comfortable silicone band. With two keepers, bands stay in place all day. The Dark Gray watch comes with a black band, while the Silver watch comes with a white band. Additional bands are available for purchase, including the popular Star Wars bands.

Wallpapers & Themes

Now with twelve wallpapers, kids can showcase their personalities. Two of the new wallpapers are GIFs with constant movement.
